We are hurting with those of you on campus who are probably reeling from the shock of the accident. We will continue praying for the survivors and their families. There's no way to avoid feeling the pain- you just have to cling to God and each other as you wade through the sorrow. We are praying for the parents of these students, as well as Dr. Habecker as he guides the campus through this grief.

Well, I actually go to IUPUI in Indianapolis (formerly went to Bethel College), but my mom works for Taylor--Fort Wayne.

Your Christian friends at IUPUI, Bethel, and Taylor--Fort Wayne will be praying for you all as you cope with this tragedy. God bless you, and continue to look to Jesus always.

This is a tragedy, and from our limited vision it makes no sense. God is bigger than... but knowing this does not make the feeling of loss any easier to accept and work through. unsure.gif There is a long road of healing physically, emotionally, and spiritually ahead. I pray that God will use even this awful tragedy to show that he is powerful and can make good out of any tragedy! You are all in my prayers.

Lean on the community of Christ, there in lies your strength.

I am faculty member at IUPUI and just saw the news on my computer's homepage. I am shocked and sickened after reading about this horrific tragedy. Everyone in the Taylor University family is in our thoughts and prayers. Please be strong, have faith, and look to God for leadership and direction during an time of unexplainable grief and sorrow. I am truly very sorry that the TU community - students, faculty, staff, and alums - must now face the aftermath of this unimaginable, unfathomable, unexplainable event.

I just heard about this accident this morning on Armed Forces Radio overseas... This Wheaton alumnus is praying for the families and your campus as a whole. May God use this horrible tragedy somehow and bring healing to all those affected both physically and emotionally.

My connection to T.U. is simply that children of close friends are students there. One of those students was killed in this tragic accident tonight. We just returned from her home, where we shared in the grief with her parents and siblings. They know their daughter/sister is with Jesus, and they know we have a faithful God who will carry them through this, but the pain of never seeing her again on this earth is numbing. Please remember to pray for the families of these five individuals. Our friends will undoubtably be traveling to T.U. soon, and all will need God's strength to make heart-rending decisions and arrangements. We here are also praying for the T.U. student body, faculty and staff. "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows." 2 Cor. 1:3-5

I'm a recent Trinity Western University alumnus and staff member. I read about the accident on the CNN news website. Having spent 5 years in the community of a small (3,300 students) Christian liberal arts and science university, I can relate to what it is like to develop close relationships with those around me in such an environment. My heart weeps for what each and every person on your campus must be going through.

In a time like this, words don't do much so I'll simply offer my prayers. May God be with the families of those who were lost, and may His presence be felt by everyone at your school.

I am attending the American Studies Program in Washington, D.C. with your classmate from Taylor, Jenny DeGeyter, and my dear friend Rachel Clemens also attends TU. We just heard the news of this unimaginable tragedy. Please know that all of us at ASP will be praying for you in the next days and weeks. God's blessing to all of you. (Rachel-we love you!)

I'm an overseas missionary parent of a recent TU graduate. I just learned of the accident on CNN Online. The pain in palpable. We want to ask "why that truck and that van at that time"? We can't know now. May the Lord uphold and comfort the families of the victims. We are praying for everyone connected with the school during this terrible time.

I am a student at Indiana Wesleyan, and I want to let you know that we are praying so hard for you guys right now. It is in times like this that we must bind together as the body of Christ. Know that we as a body are here for you in this time of extreme need. It is in our deepest times of need when we have no where else to turn to that God shows us how powerful He is. May you continue to turn to Him in this time of pain.

I work at Taylor and the campus is going through a heart tearing experience right now. Everyone has been deeply impacted by this accident. It is good there is a God we can rely upon. Otherwise, I don't know what we would do. Please keep us in your prayers.
