COURSE DESCRIPTION
A detailed study of the book of Deuteronomy with special attention to its date and authorship, its literary structure, and its importance in the progress of revelation.

LEARNING RESULTS
The learner will be able to:
• Explain the controversy concerning the date of Deuteronomy and give reasons for their own conviction.
• Apply the laws of Deuteronomy appropriately to the present day.
• Understand the covenantal structure of Deuteronomy in its literary, historical, and theological context.
• Recognize the Gospel in Deuteronomy.
• Conduct research on a specialized topic related to Deuteronomy and present their results in written form.

INTEGRATION OF FAITH AND LEARNING
Our study of Deuteronomy has hopefully not been a dry academic exercise. An effort has been made to help the student see the relevance of this great Bible book for today.
