COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course provides the opportunity to develop and implement a physical fitness program to meet your specific needs and desires for a healthy lifestyle.
LEARNING RESULTS
In this course you will:
• be able to name and explain the health- related components of physical fitness.
• be able to identify any components of physical fitness in which you may be at risk as indicated by the physical fitness tests.
• be able to design and implement a personal wellness program for selected components.
• be able to demonstrate improvement in your level of physical fitness by the end of the course.

From the starting foundations, we as Christians are to
respect our bodies as a temple. Wellness is a model that integrates not only physical aspects, but mental, spiritual, social, emotional and academic areas as well. I believe the Lord challenges us to grow and better ourselves, and this course will hopefully motivate and create opportunities for you to learn more about your body and ways in which it can be improved.

LEARNING EVALUATION
Evaluation is on a point system:
Pre & Post Physical Fitness Tests 10 points each
(80 points total)
Physical Fitness Goals 50 points
Exercise Log (10wks) 100 points
Research Paper 100 points
Wellness Position Paper 50 points
Total 400 points
