COURSE DESCRIPTION
A systematic analysis of pressing issues such as sexual morality, divorce, abortion, homosexuality, euthanasia, and war and peace.

LEARNING RESULTS
In this course you will:
• answer S.D. Gaede's question, "What does it mean to be people of truth and justice in these days?" (cf. Micah 6:8).
• learn about some specific contemporary issues, including: war and peace, abortion, homosexuality, civil disobedience, and gender issues.
• consider some of the ways in which we, as Christians, might practice justice.

INTEGRATION OF FAITH AND LEARNING
The integration of faith and learning in this course occurs as we study contemporary issues (such as war and peace, abortion, homosexuality, civil disobedience and gender issues) from a Christian perspective. In all of our studies we will attempt to explore how we might be a people of justice with regard to these issues.

LEARNING EVALUATION
Assignments 1-9 are worth 5 points each, Assignment #10 is worth 15 points. The midterm and final exam are worth 20 points each. You can earn up to 100 points in this class.
