Under 1000 Pages

|

By the way, some of you might be interested to know that we have less than 1000 pages left to migrate. (This, of course, is an approximation, but we believe the numbers are pretty accurate.) We currently have 935 pages remaining.

Having started in the neighborhood of 3000, we find this fairly exciting. :)

At this point, we're looking toward November as a possible completion timeframe.

Training Update

|

As of last week, Dan finished development of the LCMS v3 training. He's put a lot of effort into its creation, resulting in a nice manual and some interactive training materials.

With that task complete, Dan trained the current alumni and development contributors on the new system. That was well accepted and he's now scheduling training over the next two weeks with other current contributors whose content has been migrated, including: athletics, human resources, academic affairs, off-campus programs, zondervan library, and campus safety/student development.

Starting training is a huge milestone for us, paying off a lot of hard work over the summer and allowing us to start the rest of the migration in earnest.

Public Site Migration Update

|

It's been a while since the last update. I apologize for that.

Since our last update, we've finished migrating all Academic Affairs sites that aren't academic departments. This includes the C.S. Lewis Center, AEC, ETC, Office of Academic Assessment and Off Campus Study Programs, as well as employment opportunities (both for AA and HR.) With the 2006-2007 curriculum guides starting to be delivered from the Registrar's Office, we're about ready to begin migrating academic departments and update the program sections as an added bonus.

Additionally, we started migrating student development, including Campus Safety. As we figure out the CMS organizational structure for this section, we'll begin work on the rest of that content.

As you can tell, we're continuing to make good progress. At this point, I may not continue to list all of the departments that we've migrated. Instead, I would encourage you to monitor the new site map at: [old link].  As departments are finished, the site map is updated.
